The 2022 #TAL19 is set for Sunday 20/11/22.
The #Tal19 is a 19km race run in memory of Bude boy Talan Penny, 1km for every year of his too short life.
All profits go to the Institute of Cancer Research (I.C.R.) for research into the childhood cancer rhabdomyosarcoma, the cancer Talan died from.
The race is an annual event always ran on the nearest Sunday to Talan’s birthday which was the 21st Nov.
Now in its 6th year, its success is centred around Bude’s community, who come together to make soup, bake mountain’s of cake and marshal for the day.
A fun run kicks the day off for under 16’s.
The main race of 19km and introduced 3 years ago the popular #TAL10 heads off at 11.30.
Due to covid, a virtual event was started in 2020, and was continued this year to much success, this event enables anyone in the world to join in for the week leading up to the #Tal19
2022 we’ve upped the ante, you can walk/run/cycle/swim the 19km in fact, anyhow you want to! You tell us!
We’re shaking things up a bit next year, keep an eye out for our early bird tickets at last year’s price.
