On Sunday 3 March 2019 we watched in awe as over 100 lovely folk set off in some truly awful weather to walk 19km in Talan’s name. Seeing them walk over the cliff tops, heads down as the wind blew wild, but all smiles and chats, was wonderful.
The walk was tough, but as Sarah reminded us, nothing in comparison to what the children undergoing cancer treatment endure.
Following the route of the #TAL19 run, the walkers took between 3 and 4 hours to complete the walk, and were welcomed back to the Surf Life Saving Club with hot drinks and plenty of cakes.
A total of £1300 was raised. Thank you to everyone who walked, baked cakes and served hot drinks. It was a fantastic day.
